Horatio turns out to be a half-remembered form of Horus. It turns out he's the one who first catechized Horatio in Humanism, and gave him his copy of the Gospel of Man. You first get a taste of this from Ever-Faithful, who met versions 1 and 3, ages ago.

Whether or not he does remember by the end he can go ahead with his mission in two endings and destroy the city in different ways. Horatio has no memory of Metropol and that he was originally built as a weapon and tasked to destroy it, but he certainly has no love for the place at all in spite of this (claiming that something unknown in his programming causes a loathing for it).

with burn markings and a missing arm on his left side. After detonating it to defeat him, you encounter him again sometime later. When you meet Scraper for a second time, the bomb he's carrying is on his right side.

Love hearing about the production and design process of things like this.Primordia is a point-and-click Adventure Game from 2012, developed by Wormwood Studios and published by Wadjet Eye Games, notable for being heavily machine-themed throughout. Speaking of the commentary mode: I appreciated its inclusion. The credits song in particular was excellent. I didn't really notice the music much on my first playthrough (outside of the somber 'Bus Stop' area), but I paid more attention on my second playthrough while listening to the commentary, and found a new appreciation for it. Some of the puzzles were pretty satisfying to solve, and I loved the story, characters, lore, and art. I typically don't like adventure games, and this did cause a small amount of frustration for me in a few parts, as I'm not accustomed to searching every square inch of a background for items I can interact with.
